The Gurnee Fire Department provides 24-hour emergency response, fire suppression, advanced life support, rescue services, fire prevention, and public education for the Village of Gurnee and the Warren-Waukegan Fire Protection District.

Every firefighter serving the Village is also a licensed paramedic, allowing our crews to provide advanced medical care and emergency services whenever they're needed. Whether responding to a fire, medical emergency, vehicle crash, or hazardous materials incident our members are committed to protecting lives, property, and the quality of life within our community.

Beyond emergency response, the Fire Department works proactively to keep residents and businesses safe through fire prevention programs, inspections, community education, public events, and emergency preparedness initiatives.

No matter the emergency, our mission remains the same; to provide professional, compassionate service while protecting those who live, work, and visit Gurnee.
