A ride along is available to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and are approved through a background check and criminal history review process prior to approval.
If approved, you will ride with an officer during their patrol shift and have the opportunity to observe a wide range of police activity.
Ride along participants serve strictly as observers. They are not permitted to participate in calls or police operations but will gain valuable insight by watching how officers respond to calls for service, interact with the community and carry out their responsibilities in real time.
