If you have received a citation for a municipal code violation, parking violation, or other ordinance offense, you may request an administrative hearing to contest the citation. Administrative hearings provide an opportunity for you to present your case before an independent Hearing Officer, who will review the evidence and issue a final decision.

• First and second Tuesday of each month
• 1pm - 4pm

All hearings are audio recorded, as required by Illinois law.

Continuances:
One continuance may be granted for good cause.


Requesting a Non-Appearance Hearing

A non-appearance hearing allows you to contest your violation without attending in person.

Petition to Set Aside

Under limited circumstances, you may file a Petition to Set Aside an Administrative Hearing Officer's decision.

A petition may be considered if you did not receive proper notice, were not the owner or lessee of the cited property on the date of the violation, have new evidence that was unknown or unavailable at the time of your hearing and may materially affect the decision, or had an excusable reason for failing to appear or request a new hearing date.

A Petition to Set Aside must be filed within 30 days of the Administrative Hearing Officer's order.
