Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS) provides garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection for most Village residents under a franchise agreement. View current LRS service rates. The Village also partners with LRS and SWALCO (Solid Waste Agency of Lake County) to provide convenient disposal and recycling programs for a variety of household items.

Questions about Your Waste Collection Service?
While most Village residents receive waste collection through the Village's contract with LRS, residents living in unincorporated areas (typically identified by a five-digit street address) or residents whose HOA provides waste collection service have different service providers.

  • Village LRS Service: Contact LRS directly by calling 844-633-3577 or by logging in to your LRS account at www.lrsrecycles.com for questions or issues related to garbage, recycling, or yard waste collection.

  • Unincorporated Residents: Waste collection is provided by Warren Township. Please contact Warren Township directly at 847-244-1101 with questions about your service.

  • HOA-Provided Collection: Contact your property manager or HOA with any questions or service-related issues.

Garbage and recycling will be picked up on an assigned day, once a week between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. LRS uses the schedule below that displays each area's collection days. Please check to see the day for your collection. In the event of a holiday falling Sunday through Thursday (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day), pickups for that week will be delayed by one day.
